Bento Sushi - Ajax

I had a spicy tuna roll and the deep fried wonton which I crave. I was raised in Vancouver and have travelled throughout North America. The worst deep fried wonton is in Springfield, Missouri but that is for another time. This is the best fried wonton ever. I don’t know where they get their wraps but the wrap and the filling are perfect. I have eaten in hundreds of Asian restaurants. This is the best deep fried wonton in North America.

I had looked over the menu before our visit, and thought the selection was very good. This visit was for a milestone birthday and there were 8 of us. Orders were taken quickly, and served within a reasonable time, except for one person. In fact he only received his order in a plastic bag after we had all finished ours. I don't know what the problem was as the servers came back to ask him about his order 2 or 3 times. They never bothered with anyone else. Didn't bother to ask if anyone of us wanted to order more food or drinks. His was one of the bento boxes, nothing out of the ordinary and on the menu. I ordered the chirashi sushi which was to include 12 pieces of sashimi on rice. There weren't 12 pieces, maybe 8 at the most...again totally disappointing. The few pieces of sashimi were on a bowl of more rice than one should eat at a sitting. It was a very disappointing evening for what should have been a memorable time.

The place serves large portions and for affordable prices. very friendly staff. 5 stars.

Despite, having to eat at home and waiting for the delivery person, the quality and flavour of the food did not dissapoint. Even the delivery person was perfect. She did exactly as asked when following my delivery directions. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I no longer have my dining companion as he left this world due to illness October 2019, the food reminded me of our good times eating together at Odine.
