I had heard rumors of a cheap and delicious restaurant serving yakiniku set meals, so I decided to visit Hayashi Shokudo. Across the street from the restaurant, there was a parking lot in front of the store. As I sat at the counter and looked at the menu, I was shocked by the unbelievably low prices. The yakiniku set meal I ordered was only 630 yen. I was grateful for the incredible service, but little did I know that was just the beginning. To my surprise, I was served cold agar jelly with my tea. And to top it off, the amount of rice in the set meal seemed to be equivalent to two bowls of rice.

I visited Hayashi in Higashisono Town, where they serve both Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Upon entering, I tried their recommended udon set. The taste was great and the portion was generous, including dessert and after-dinner coffee for a great value. When the dishes were brought out, I felt like I couldn't finish it all, so I asked to have the rice portion reduced by half, but I still left feeling fully satisfied. The restaurant has a clean and beautiful interior with table seats as well as raised seating areas where banquets can be held. There is a parking lot located across the street from the restaurant.

I used it for lunch! I ordered the yakiniku set meal, but the volume was amazing hahaha There's about two and a half bowls of rice like the ones you have at home! The store was spacious and bustling with locals. Coffee was also free, and dessert was included at this price, which was great. It was a wonderful old-fashioned set meal restaurant. I will come again.
