This restaurant is run by a chef who trained at a famous restaurant in Tokyo and now quietly operates in the countryside. (Imaginary) It has that kind of atmosphere. The soupless tantanmen is so delicious that I forgot to take a photo. For those who don't like spicy food, they also offer beaten eggs, providing subtle and handsome service.
This Chinese restaurant may be a bit pricey, but it is worth it. Located in a typical city establishment that used to be a convenience store, this Taiwanese-owned restaurant is considered slightly upscale. Be prepared to spend around 1.5 times more than at other similar places. The lunch menu usually starts at 1000 yen, but the atmosphere and the taste of the dishes are a step above the rest. The set meals come with a generous portion of rice, served in a container larger than a rice bowl but smaller than a donburi dish. The dumplings here are served with a sauce that is not commonly seen, possibly black vinegar-based, and you'll get around 10 pieces for 600 yen. Although the price may seem high, the flavor is definitely worth it.
