Taverna Catalana - Zürich

We had lunch at the Catalan tavern on a sunny Saturday, enjoying the possibility to sit at an outside table on the lovely and quiet square. We shared a plate of mixed tapas and followed a mixed grill of fish. tapas are venting and tasty. the excellent grill, with fresh fish and well cooked and pleasantly accompanied by rice and spinach. To complete the whole two glasses of prosecco, water and coffee on an absolutely correct account considering that we are in the center of zurigo.

We, 6 people were on 14th juni 2017 for lunch in the taverna catalana, on invitation of a friendly couple. the weather was nice and so we could take the delicacies on the terrace. the reception and the first contacts were very friendly and «inspired». a service worker who had been laid down for a walk served to our best satisfaction.We went with a white spade to the cache (verdejo.) afterwards followed a very balanced rioja, long finish, full nase, served in the perfect temperature. yes the tapas: a great choice. once the tortilla, inside beautifully made «bavé», containing something tweeted, peperoni and kartoffel slices, an absolute must. Of course, the dried meat products: jamon, chorizo and lomo (a kind of coppa.) finely seasoned sardelles (boquerones,) in olive oil and vinegar, with petersilie and with garlic refined. the best sprinkled with salt flakes, powdered green peperoni (piemientos del padron.) inkfish in tomato seasoning sauce. fried riesencrevetten in garlic olive oil. a visit for the tapas alone. all from the best, I found....The following doraden fried in olive oil, 1 x fried cadjau, very pleased. fried on the spot. we served bratkartoffeln (in discs) and spinat. it is large portions and the fish is fresh. the spice is perfect.As dessert we chose Caramel-Chöpfli and crema catalana. both sounded, despite the somewhat filled belly....A very uncomplicated taverna where you can celebrate the table community. we will surely return there.

The best gizi and service of the city!!! We had the tappas a miguel and then a fabulous gizi (to German: young lamb) it was also fabulous service! merci

We were eating two weeks ago. very pleasant atmosphere with friendly reception, the staff competent.The eating barely cut to quite high prices.The same with the wine card. actually good wee, but the prices are a freak. Unfortunately, there are the same impressions as our first visit.This was then with this local for us.

Very recommended Spanish restaurant, for dinner and lunch (closing at 14:00, I think for the Spanish should close later,) has a terrace, good atmosphere of tourists and locals, lovers of good eating and drinking. the short but varied letter. the short tape for a Spanish. in the letter I highlight the rappelling and the spinach of 10, the sweet and very good intercot, the shrimps to the chin, quality and freshness, etc. and its excellent and varied wine menu. the normal prices in zurich, in short a good and pleasant restaurant and centrally located two steps from the bahnhofstrasse the responsible miguel "always at the foot of the cannon" attending with his kindness of good host, the friendly and friendly staff (camarero/as and kitchen,) repeat twice once we discover it, we will have to vote to zurich. restaurant very recommended.
