Lazoupa - Zürich

Highly recommend. A little pricey, but worth very penny. Soups were amazing and the service was wonderful!

This tiny hole in the wall with some outdoor seating contains a great set of snacks just off Ramistrasse and the lake. The proprietor is friendly, the drinks and ambiance are great.

We were walking around Zurich in the evening (while it was still warm and light,) following a walking tour on the city map which we obtained from the hotel, and felt like a refreshing beverage.We hunted around for a bar that took our fancy, and settled on LaZoupa for it's ambiance, alfresco tables, and lack of smokers. We asked the gentleman who was in attendance if we could sit down just for a drink, and he invited us to do so. We got chatting to him, and it turns out he is from Mexico (the Cancun, Tulum area.) Next thing, we were chatting to the owner - and he's from Ottawa in Canada! Anyway, they were great to talk to.We had the recommended Swiss beer, which was nice, and, for Zurich, I thought the price was quite reasonable.Highly recommended!

Each Thursday evening LaZoupa offers live LaZoupa Unplugged Music starting at 8pm. A wonderful place to grab some food and drink, socialize with guests and enjoy the terrace. A must see weekly.

We were just walking past on a cold Zurich day and we're keen on some soup when a lovely elderly lady sitting outside, under cover invited us to join her. We did, we ate the soup, shared some beers and some stories and jokes with the nice lady.We came back later again and met the owner. Great people!
