We arrived very early for the ferry to Malta There was no food on offer as the kitchen was closed so we ordered a drink. The gentleman came over and said they could make us a simple meal of pasta. It was great. Mozzarella salad to start then courgette with pasta. Very tasty, and he couldn’t have been more helpful A nice experience for our last day in Sicily Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Had the immeasurable pleasure of stumbling upon this place while waiting for the ferry to Malta. The couple that seems to be running it were warm and inviting. I was fed well, brought some amazing wine and a cannolo that was simply mind blowing. Thank you all for such an amazing experience!!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I had the opportunity to taste the homemade scacce, really very good... Food: 5
Disturbing experience. Today I am ashamed of being Italian. The self styled taxi driver with a plastic meter takes us here telling us it's a great place to wait for the ferry. We arrive around lunch time, the staff is having lunch, so we decide to order some drinks and decide to sit in a slightly more secluded corner, where there are some impressively uncomfortable sofas, so as not to obstruct the passage of the at this unlucky point patrons (unless of course they are friends of the owners or miserable local squires to do favors for). I expected to be able to have a snack or to be able to have lunch after consuming some drinks, but nothing, the gentlemen today decide that food is not served. So we end up spending about 6 hours on drinks and chips, full of luggage, waiting to board the ferry to Malta. The owners, while pleasantly discussing local oil and the late Bettino Craxi with their associates, discreetly point out to us in heavy Sicilian dialect that we are occupying their designated area. At this point, pretending not to understand, we do everything we can to remain seated on these very uncomfortable and horrible plastic sofas. Answer: Look, dear gentlemen, I am not a poor foreigner who understands nothing, as you evidently believe. I was born and raised in Italy and I know very well how it works. You didn't have ANYTHING about DIFERS displayed like you use!! In the 6 hours that I unfortunately had to spend with you, I did not see a single customer consume hot food. You got some toast for the local journalist whose ass you obviously licked who was complaining about the fact that you had NOTHING to eat! She has a disconcerting arrogance. You should just be ashamed, you are the plastic image of the degradation of this land that you even have the courage to call yours. But go study and learn education and respect for animals since expecting respect for people from certain characters like you would be too much to ask. I hope you end up straight in Algeria or rather Tunisia with a smile on your face that distinguishes you and your beloved customers. Ad maiora.
