Friendly Tavern - Zionsville

This place truly lives up to its name! It has a wonderfully friendly, hometown atmosphere. During our visit, several patrons struck up conversations with us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The drinks were excellent, and I really appreciated the variety of healthy menu options available. I will definitely be back on my next visit to the area!

I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and it never fails to impress. The breaded tenderloin was thick, juicy, and had a light, crispy coating. It was lightly seasoned and came on an excellent bun—truly the perfect tenderloin. However, the grilled tenderloin was a bit thinner and tougher than expected, with a touch too much seasoning. The onion rings were outstanding—perfectly coated, seasoned, and fried to perfection. The fries were also great, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, lightly seasoned to enhance their flavor. I was pleased to see that our carryout order was packaged in recyclable plastic instead of the usual styrofoam. I look forward to the next step—hopefully, they’ll offer compostable packaging for the breaded and grilled tenderloins, onion rings, and fries!

This is the best spot in Zionsville, and possibly in Indianapolis, for wings! Make sure to arrive early as there tends to be a wait after 5 PM. They also offer daily specials and a variety of drinks!

Well we are starting this review with a great big WOW!!! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and hot . We would like to thank everyone who helped in preparing our delicious lunch . The service was impeccable as well as the food. Try the cinnamonice cream. We would like to thank the entire staff and thank you Brenda for excellent service.

Great experience! Food was awesome: the buffalo wings were perfect, buffalo chips crunchy, home made. Besides, the restaurant has a variety of food available which gives you a hard time to choose. Staff super friendly and authentic.
