We had dinner at the main farmhouse for my parents' wedding anniversary and they could not have been more amazingly hospitable and attentive. Katharina and her sister Elisabeth served (as well as cooked) and the food all came from the farm or local farms in the Bruck area. It was all delicious - duck, soup, dumplings - and homemade wines plus local beers. And a dinner finished with a berry pancake topped with lime ice cream and homemade schnapps. The breakfasts were equally amazing. Fresh meats, breads, fruits, yogurt and jams plus homemade breads (including a fresh-baked apple strudel because they overheard my dad mentioning he loves them! SO thoughtful!) and eggs from their chickens scrambled to order with homemade chive oil. I love the attention to detail for guests staying at the farm or dining with the family. Also, their very sweet dog Ella is sometimes loafing around the farmhouse, which I think is a beautiful, at-home touch. Goes well with the cat following you around, the donkey staring at you over the fence, the rabbits in the hutches, the sheep running in the pasture and the fat little ponies waiting for you outside the cabins in the morning. Great family feel.
Very typical restaurant and very romantic place to stay for a couple that loves mountains. The restaurant is situated high above the city of Zell am See and Bruck viewing the most spectacular mountains of the region.
