Cafe Africa Shops - Zanzibar

Cute place with great intentions. We tried their coffee and I bought a beautiful $12 tote bag but unfortunately the quality was terrible, it broke to pieces even before the holiday was over..

We had a quick stop here during our walking tour for some of their fresh juices and pancakes. The place is a social enterprise so we were more than happy to spend our money there. Even bought a cute Wodaabe tribe doll for myself!

A great spot for coffee, drinks, snack and sweets, plus they sell very nice handmade products like dolls, tote bags, etc, which supports African women. Recommended!

It was a great experience. The employees are very sympathetic and caring. In addition, the place belongs to a Foundation and all products sold here benefit the women and children living Zanzibar. You must visit and sit here :

A beautiful, quaint little cafe right in the heart of Stone Town. You can recognize it immediately by the picket fence filled with handmade dolls by local Zanzibari women! Come get a tasty coffee and soak in the energy through the open window.
