My wife had the grilled shrimp plater, and she said the flavors were outstanding. To finish the Butter Rum Bundt Cake was perfect.
Service is ALWAYS rude. My poboy was dry. Prices are high.
When we lived in Slaughter, we ate here often. The food was always quality and well prepared.
I ordered pull pork nachos to go and they gave me a bag of chips, pulled pork in a plastic bag, and all separate topping in little containers. I asked for more BBQ Sauce and they wanted to charge me a dollar for a teaspoon of BBQ Sauce. Really. Not happening.
I know they are short handed at times, but there is one waitress or she just stays behind the counter, not sure, but she doesn’t have a good attitude or “bedside manner” so to speak. All the call in orders get taken care of prior to you being seated. The last 2 times we’ve been there, we’ve had to sit for 20 min while 13 customers (not counted) came in to pick up their call in orders while we just sat waited. We almost left. The food is good, it’s not great, but it’s good. The shrimp corn soup is good, but too much corn. The crawfish e’toufe isn’t the best. Their seafood gumbo is good, I do love their fruit, pecan salad with the house dressing.
