Brunch Junkie - Zachary

Brunch Junkie brings a cool experience to Zachary, LA. My husband and I visited on. Friday night and were pleased to discover that brunch was available after dark! I saw tables enjoying yummy looking appetizers and drinks. All the customers looked pleased. We both opted for flavored teas and items from the brunch menu. Including some pics with this. I would have given a higher score but the chicken wings were not seasoned to my liking. I'll definitely visit again though.

The breakfast foods were greatAs was the variety of mimosas served.The ambiance had a warm, relaxed and friendly vibe.This is a smaller setting but a well appointed use of space and comfort.Quite a nice place to begin your dayBiscuit of the Month and Boudin are tasty.

Food: Delicious and we'll seasoned. The portions are very big. My favorite thing I ordered was the mac and cheese. Bare in mind that the sea food is very strong here. It tastes fresh, so if you don't like the taste of sea food...I don't know what to tell you haha. The egg rolls were very sweet and flavorful. Glad I gave them a try. The junkie fries appetizer was also good but a bit heavy for an appetizer so I didn't finish it. Service was good. They were super busy and we had initially what was a one-hour wait but we got called when they had a seat for us and we were able to sit like 30 minutes later. Our waiter was very nice and helpful and attentive despite them being so busy and having a small staff. Ambiance was also pretty nice here. The place is smaller than most restaurants but doesn't feel crowded. It's clean and and also stylish.

If I could put no stars I would...This is absolutely the worst brunch experience that I have ever had. It was packed l, orders were backed up, and they were still trying to seat people. That is a recipe for disaster! After being seated at 12:30 pm, it was 1:58 pm and I STILL hadn't received my food. When someone FINALLY acknowledged me my friend has already had her food for 20 minutes. Needless to say, I told them to keep it, because I was absolutely disgusted by the service. I love brunch. I love brunch with friends. I especially love brunch at a black establishment with my friends. This was certainly below the bar as far as service is concerned. Unfortunately I can't tell you about the food because I never got it!

Went here for brunch with my favorite person. The food and service were amazing! I will definitely be coming back with my friends.
