The trip ended with three fun days in Paris, where we learn everything about cheese and wine parings!. Sydney and Alison are recognized chefs and wonderful hosts. Very recommended!
The Calabash is an experience not to be missed, the chefs of this cooking school are the best, don't hesitate for a second you will not be disappointed in any case!
The attention and dedication of Alison and Sid working together to deliver Le Calabash experience is second to none. Their years of experience and knowledge are generously shared in such a warm and friendly, though extremely professional, way. And the food! Oh my goodness the food. : enough said!
It was a lovely week at Le Calabash! The itinerary was full of enjoyable and informative excursions. The cooking was great fun! The food was fabulous! Every breakfast table was delight. Sidney and Alison invite you into their family for a week. They treat you as family. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, welcoming. You couldn't ask for more.
Loved Chefs Sidney and Allison Bond! They did not leave one stone unturned in teaching us French cuisine. How it is produced, how it is procured and how it is prepared. My group participated in a week cooking class and tour of food related venues in the Loire Valley. At times I found it exhausting, but realized that was just my age, the younger members of our group were doing just fine. My family is enjoying the benefits of their excellent instructions. Especially the soufflés!!Best to show up for this experience rested and ready to work, however the work made the wine time even more appreciated. We all felt we deserved our diplomas and aprons! I will be talking about this experience and what I learned for years to come.
