I would recommend getting the maize bread and the french french fries as sides and you can't go wrong with any meat! Your cornbread is surface-shaped cake if you enjoy sweet corn bread I would highly recommend it!
Went after looking at lights, had the Twister with added peppers, good but the potatoes inside little cubes ,sweet tea good. Okra good. Baked beans were not what I called baked, just heated...Cherry cobbler...mush . Overall-just ok ..has been better
Small town BBQ. I like Bad Brads. I enjoy brisket, sweet tea, and 'dirty fries ' just bear in mind, this is one of those 'gets packed fast ' places, so don 't go during the peaks for a full experience.
Good BBQ. Hubby and I both ordered the brisket and turkey. Both meats were moist and flavorful. For sides I had the potato salad and fried okra. The okra was ok, nothing to get excited about, but I did enjoy the potato salad. It was creamy and did not have an overpowering mustard flavor. Hubby had the cowboy beans. The cowboy beans are spicy and like the okra they are ok, not overly spicy but not something to get excited about either. Both of us thought the hot BBQ sauce was too spicy and overpowered the meat, but the regular BBQ sauce was just right and added the perfect amount of flavor to the meats. Brad's was good BBQ and will make the trek to Yukon again.
Nice building, ordinary BBQ. This was my first trip to Bad Brad's. I met a friend there for lunch. He grew up in Yukon and told me that the original location is in Stillwater. Maybe that one has better BBQ. This place has good, but not great, BBQ. I got the Sidekick size rib dinner with cowboy beans, green beans, and wheat bread. It is nice to be able to get a slice of wheat bread. It has the same texture as Wonder bread, but at least it has some flavor to it. This is the first BBQ restaurant that I have been to where they give you the option of having wheat bread instead of white bread or Texas toast. Another feature of Bad Brad's is their green beans. They appeared to be steamed from frozen and tasted like they were lightly brushed with some herb butter or oil. It's a pleasant flavor, but it's also not the typical green beans cooked in ham broth. The cowboy beans were only so so. The sauce in which they were cooked is rather bland, and the beans themselves were more squishy than I would like. The ribs I got were a more generous portion than I expected for the Sidekick size dinner. That was a nice plus. In addition, they tasted good smoky and tender. The BBQ sauces were just okay. The regular BBQ sauce is not very sweet. As for the hot sauce, it gets its spiciness from some kind of artificial spice mix instead of jalapeno rings or crushed red pepper. This is a spiciness that I don't care for much. Overall, this is probably one of the better BBQ joints in Yukon, but you can get better BBQ in nearby OKC.
