It does nothing like a Biryani- be simply chicken cooked in regular masala and sat with lots of onion and capcicum when I had specifically asked not. 2. The chicken has this stinking smell of dark red meat. The chicken should be inside white when the meat was cooked was likely to leave stale old meat in the cooler for weeks. I don't want to eat disgusting, but that was it. So disappointed.
I was in Yuba City running some errands and planned to have lunch afterwards. As my two previous experiences with Indian cuisine were somewhat disappointing, I had decided to give it a pass, and go for something more familiar. However, the restaurant I had originally chosen was closed, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I hadn 't seen this restaurant in my previous searches, and found it completely by accident. It was conveniently located right on the main road, so I said, What the heck? I 'm in Yuba City, and I don 't come across Indian food often, so I decided to take the risk and pop in. We weren 't too familiar with Indian cuisine, so we were kind of just taking a shot in the dark. We ordered the Lamb Karahi and Chicken Curry Kebab, which both came with a side of rice, along with some garlic flatbread. Our biggest concern was that we 'd end up going home still feeling hungry, but the portions were large enough to go home with leftovers. We ordered both dishes mild . The spice level on the Chicken Curry was just right, but the Lamb Karahi was hotter than I expected. It was yummy, but a bit too hot to finish in one sitting. Thankfully, the woman who took our order, which I 'm assuming is the owner, was really friendly and asked us if we want takeout boxes, and even gave us a bag to put them in. She also brought us all our change, even though we wanted to leave it as a tip. In total, we paid just over $37.00 for everything, which I felt was reasonable by today 's standards. The price of each meat type is the same, no matter how you get it done, which I thought it was really nice. Some of the dishes are served in traditional Indian bowls, but the owner had no qualms about bringing us extra plates. The ambience of the place also wasn 't bad, though it looked like it was a lot nicer, before COVID. When you enter, go into the bar area to be seated, as the buffet area currently isn 't operating. I easily give this place a 5. There is very little to complain about, and I was pleased that I finally found an Indian place that does Indian food right. I guess third time really IS the charm.
I dont come here often maybe once every month or so. I have been here for their buffet before the pandemic and it was reasonably priced and the food was good, only it was a very small selection of dishes. Anyway, I sometimes get the Chicken Tikka Masala and the chicken is so, so tender. But this time the chicken was so tough it hurt my teeth to eat it. I don't know why it was like this maybe cooking too long? Like I said this was the only time it was bad and I hope the last time. I'll still continue to come here but another bad experience and I'll have to look for another East Indian restaurant.
We were craving for Indian food and happened to stumble onto this place. The main banquet hall where they usually have the buffet was closed off due to COVID-19, so we dined in the bar area. We ordered tandoori shrimp on a skillet and lamb. The shrimps were not grilled as described by our waitress, and they were tiny and in small portion. The lamb, on the hand, was really good, even though it was a bit tough to chew on instead of being tender. Our orders did not come with plain naan (Indian bread), so we had to order some. Overall, it was an okay experience.
Excellent selection of food dishes, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very clean and spacious environment. Lots of various tables to choose from to sit and eat very flavorful cuisine. You can have large parties to solo. Very nice decor, food to go, full bar and lots of TVs to watch. Restrooms, parking lot and child booster seats. Go enjoy this great restaurant and easy to see off main hwy. Went again Wed night Buffet. Still serving excellent food with great service and very clean. Last night took our Sister she loved everything, as we do.
