Wendy's - Ypsilanti

I placed my order with the cashier (Kora) who had just finished cleaning behind the counter. Kora had plastic gloves on when she entered my order into the register, took my money which included dollar bills and coins. After she was finished taking my order, she handed me my drink cup without removing the gloves. She then turned around, grabbed a bag of fries out of the freezer, put them in the oil to cook. After she put my fries down, she continued to clean and stock the food containers. She never did change her gloves. I confronted her and asked if she was supposed to change her gloves before touching the food and she said she did not directly touch the food. I told her that she did touch my fries and my food was going to be put into the containers that she had just stocked and contaminated. I asked to speak with the manager (George). When he came to the front, he told me that at Wendy's, they were allowed to use the same gloves to make fries that were used for cleaning as well as collecting money. After I asked for a refund and told them that I do not believe they were following food safety protocols George again told me that at Wendy's they are allowed to do that. Once I got my refund, I observed Kora putting the dirty gloves on the food prep counter instead of in the garbage.
