Staryy Ambar - Yoshkar-Ola

Our favorite place to visit when we come to Yoshkar-Ola. The pancakes are excellent, the tea is superb, and the service is outstanding. The kids enjoyed the soup as if it were their first time, and the roast was pretty good too, getting a solid four out of five!

The service here is incredibly slow—extraterrestrially slow. You could wait here for the weather to change, or until pigs fly, or even until the chaos settles down and judgment day arrives.

It's curious how I stumbled upon this place in 2023, even though I visited in 2021. However, it's not a bad spot. The view is quite nice, especially if you sit by the park. The servers are attentive and polite. The food is similar to what you find in other Old Barns.
