I wouldn't recommend this to a friend for Thanksgiving Day. Although, I have never been on any other occasion, so I cannot speak for the restaurant as a whole. We had made a reservation weeks in advance for 7:30. We arrived early and said that reservations ran 45-50 minutes later. We sat at 8:15, but the food was average. It was a bit cold, picked up and not all that was served in the list. If I ever did this again, I would make the reservation right at the beginning
Excellent location and ambience... will definitely come back.
The food was decent, but not good enough for $130, for a meal for two. We ordered the Calamari Appetizer, which was delicious and the portion was on point. The entree, Asian Sea Scallop and Lobster .Mac and Cheese were both mediocre, nothing out of the ordinary. We also ordered two glasses of wine. What was disappointing was the service. We waited at the entrance for someone to seat us for more than 5 mins, to the point that I was about to leave. The waiter also had a indescribable attitude towards us and the table next to us. We didn’t pay this much to get a subpar service. The view in the restaurant was pretty nice, although we were seated far away from the window while there were available seats near the windows. We probably won’t go back again.
The location, views, and quietness of this restaurant are all very pleasant. The wine the fish in the gumbo was overcooked; the fried seafood combo of mackerel, oysters, and the scallop dish, while very tasty and nicely cooked, was similarly chintzy with just 3 moderately sized scallops. At the prices, we simply cannot recommend Riverwalk.
