Subway - York

Subway's tag line is 'eat fresh'. If only. Too many times I am given old crusty bread. Bread is the reason for seeking out a Subway. This and other franchisees like this one have driven me away. I cannot justify gambling on 'getting fresh' food 25% of the time.It is a miserly thing to serve old bread not fit for geese or just so crummy that it flakes onto the plastic tray like cracker dust.

HoneyBee.Donuts converted to a Subway a few years ago. The dining room was always clean, food fresh and staff happy. Since the new owners took over last year...staff are not happy, dining room and washrooms are disgusting and owners appear to have the attitude..."busy oh well staff will do that, its not my job". This week went in to grab some subs for dinner for the family. Walked in, 1 staff helping another customer. Two of us are waiting for our turn. The first customer was requiring service that was taking a lot of time. The owner comes out, stands at one end of the counter calling out to the staff... i looked at him and said she is busy with another customer, how about you helping us? He said no.... My heart goes out to the staff that works very hard in there and managers that wont step up to help. Apparently he doesn't believe he needs customers. Felt my business and the other two customers wasn't important to him. If you are looking for a clean restaurant and great service, don't go to this Subway location. Markham has many Subway locations that will serve you with great food and service!

Great food from a clean location at a decent price!__Tried the sub of the day on Wednesday which was the sweet onion chicken teriyaki.

I came here a few times since it is on my way home The last time I went there the owner and his wife were there and they were very friendly.
