I was here at Hwy 48 near No Frills in the northern Markham area several times in the past. I lived in the Greensboro area, and this place was my destination for McCafe articles, as it is open 24 hours. I have eaten occasionally in this place, but on this trip it was the first time since COVID met us that I actually went to order and eat. I had a promo article on my Mcdonald's iPhone app for a Big Mac combo. I haven't had a big Mac for years since they had become smaller and smaller over the years. The drive-thru was extremely busy and is always at this point therefore my decision to go inside. Waiting on the counter was 't so long and the only thing I asked was 'good-done' frits. I like my fires a little crispy and piping hot and most other Mcdonald's sites in the past have included my request. The transaction went smoothly and the young teenager at the counter was friendly. I was sure she understood my request for "good-done" Fritten. When I waited for my order, I was looking for a place to sit as most tables were full. I noticed that the large counters of the Soda donor with used napkins etc. were unordered throughout the table. I waited about 6-7 minutes for my food, that was not a big deal as you can watch your order on the large display near the counter. I got my meal and went to the soda dispenser and got my drink. Nonetheless, no one came to clean the table. There were no available tables so I had to eat in my car. My frits were not "good-done" and fresh, they were actually lukewarm and a bit soggy. It was only 2-3 minutes from the time they put my order on the counter to pick up and get to my car for me. This was disappointing, so a star was lost. The other star was lost due to the cleanliness of the restaurant, even though it was full. My Big Mac was overwhelmed and eating a pain in the ass when gooey pieces of my burger repeatedly fell from the burger itself. I know they pump massive amounts of off food per day and yes, it is a busy location, but the oversaucing of foods, the fact that they missed my special request, the other Mcdonald 's have done for me and the cleanliness led to three stars. There is always room for improvement, but due to the volume of daily customers, and how busy it is at peak times, it looks like some quality problems occur. Am I back? Yes, as it is one of my accesses when I'm in the area, and usually I don't have these problems. There is also a Harvey south of Mcdonald's location, so I have options. As I said in the title, it is immediately hit in this place.
We went through these periods, and the system worked well. Plastic plates on the drive by kiosks. The food came hot, it felt all safe and organized and the meals we got were good. No problems. Very good with... a voucher.
The wrong order. always pay for a double patty and xtra big pommes, always get a single!!!! ridiculous to drive back. Very bad management and staff!
We recently had the build your own burger service and it falls way short of other upgraded McDonald's. The server did not listen, interrupted and served drinks we did not order ... she was apparently in a rush but there were few customers. The grease...was dripping off the patties that also fell apart. Aweful experience.
