Indonesia Padang Restaurant - York

I passed by earlier and it didn't seem like it was open. I can't confirm if it's closed yet, though.

This charming Chinese restaurant is located across from Debenhams in the City Centre. I have been dining here since it first opened and recently held a 50th birthday celebration there.

I ate here with my sister when we looking for somewhere cheap to eat on a Sunday lunchtime.

Many Malaysian dined here. Beef rendang was very not very nice, the beef is very dry and the taste was very different from what I had from Malaysia. However, laksa and hokee mee were nice. Roti could be a bit thinner but the curry mutton was very tasty. Friendly service and teh tarik was authentic.

This restaurant has been frequented by many Malaysians. Unfortunately, the beef dish was not very enjoyable as the beef was dry and had a different taste than what I am used to from Malaysia. However, the Laksa and Hokee Mee dishes were delicious. The Roti could be thinner, but the curry mutton was exceptional. The service was friendly and the Teh Tarik was authentic.
