My favorite diner to go to in York county! Homemade always always delicious!! Wonderful large selection so there's something for everyone no matter your craving or taste! Prime Rib here is WONDERFUL!!! We have never ever had a bad meal or bad service here ever.. highly recommend this great little place. The owner is exceptionally nice genuinely cares how your experience is. I often see him randomly throughout the restaurant checking on his customers and I always see his interactions with his servers are pleasant ones. Thank you Central family restaurant for all the years of your wonderful food and service!

If you are anywhere close to York,PA travelling on I83 or US30 and looking for a meal, this neighborhood, no-frills, long-established, American-style, old-school diner /restaurant is the place to eat! Big parking lot, tables, booths counter-service, clean bathrooms very friendly, attentive service. Stopped for lunch with a friend about 1pm on a sunny Monday! So here's the problem! Yes, they serve breakfast until about 11am but lunch dinner(with 3 pages of specials) is the killer, served until closing time. Tons of sandwiches, soups, salads, seafood combos you would never think existed. I had a medium rare cut of prime Rib with onion rings, mashed potatoes, broccoli salad 3 fried jumbo shrimp for $23! But the star was the locally raised Buffalo, served as a huge hamburger, medium cooked. Accomplished by a huge order of crispy French fries, if made a delicious dinner! Pictured below! Yummy. Everything about CenIal Family is perfection. I've never been disappointed. Usually order Ruben or Hot Turkey Sandwich or Queen Cut Prime Rib. Milkshakes are very good. Its always a treat to eat here. Never have to wait for a table either. Staff is efficient and friendly. Can't go wrong at Central Family! Clean place too!

Brought my 1 yr old granddaughter to the restaurant with my daughter. I've been coming here since I was a kid 40+ yrs ago. Waitress was great with assisting us with our lil one.

Food here is simply delicious, great prices and friendly staff. Definitely recommend
