The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fantastic, I’m not exaggerating. The drinks were amazing, and the service was exceptional. The ambiance was lovely as well—not too loud and very family-friendly. I can’t wait to return; it’s some of the best food I’ve had in a long time!
Our visit was inspired by a recommendation to watch the Thursday fireworks. We made a reservation specifically for a table with a view of the fireworks. However, we were seated at a high-top in the bar area, behind a wall and away from windows. We requested to be moved to a different table, and the hostess promptly accommodated us. Although our waiter greeted us after a brief wait, he was initially unaware of whether we could see the fireworks but assured us he would check. Upon his return, we were informed that we wouldn’t be able to see them—this turned out to be incorrect, as we managed to view the fireworks, even though they were quite short. We were offered bread but never received any side plates or silverware. After waiting a while for our waiter or any staff member to assist us, I eventually got up to grab some utensils from a nearby table. It’s also worth noting that the menu features entrees priced around $30 to $50, with some items reaching as high as $70, none of which included sides. I always review the children's menu since our kids typically dine with us. Sadly, the options were underwhelming and overpriced—just typical fare like chicken fingers, grilled cheese, and cheeseburgers. Our children chose a steak and pasta dish. The steak portion was surprisingly small at about 4 ounces, accompanied by fries or carrot sticks. We requested a different side and were offered a side salad or Caesar salad, ultimately choosing the side salad. The pasta was just noodles with red sauce—no protein at all—and we swapped that out as well. I wasn't very hungry and decided to share my husband’s burger, which was actually delicious. I requested an extra plate but were told by the waiter that they would split it in the back. Unfortunately, after that, we never saw our waiter again. One of the kids wanted a drink, but no staff were around, so I made another trip to the bar to place an order myself. Eventually, someone checked in on us and cleared our plates. When the check arrived, we were shocked to see that every food item was priced higher than the menu stated. I called over the last staff member who had been at our table and asked where our waiter had gone. I was informed he had left due to feeling unwell, and we were never informed of this change. I also inquired why we were charged different prices, only to find out the kids’ side salads incurred an extra charge, despite our substitutions. Additionally, we faced a hefty split charge that was also never mentioned beforehand. I left the restaurant feeling frustrated. A lack of communication, especially for a restaurant aiming for a five-star experience, is simply unacceptable. The BC Chophouse not only disappointed in terms of guest care and communication but also in their offerings relative to the high prices. Experiences like these tarnish Beaver Creek's reputation. I should have requested to speak to a manager, but I was so disillusioned that I nearly walked out without addressing the check.
This was our 2nd visit to Beaver Creek Chophouse and both visits rated 5 stars! The steaks were cooked as exactly as requested. The sides were amazing (get the bacon Brussel sprouts! , dessert(chocolate chip ice cream sandwich was fantastic and service was great! We went on Thursday night and were able to see the fireworks over the slopes. We had a 5:30 reservation and got a table near the window and the fireworks were at 6:20. I think if you go later, you get seated further from the windows and don't see the fireworks. We also really enjoyed the magician walking around. A great experience for kids (they have a kids menu and adults!
Another fabulous spot in my favorite ski area in this world. Had my fussy sister in town and was worried about bringing her there. My sister has celiac and was truly impressed with the service (I had a few drinks before dinner to prepare for her, but she loved the place! , chef came out and talked to her specifically about how they prepared food and went over the menu with her. But to be honest I was at the bar drinking margaritas with mezcal (my sister is so annoying and saw someone recommend a 'bourbon hot chocolate with baileys in it. That took me over the appropriate edge. Next time I 'm in town I will come back and try the menu. The service was set bar high and I might of talked the bartender 's ear off, but he was such a gentleman and so handsome : that my husband had to take me away before I left my number.
Best Carrot Cake I think I've ever had, no joke. Possibly worth a trip just for that if you dig carrot cake. Charcuterie plate is also really excellent. And pro tip, that delicious creamy cheese they they place under the pita chips is so delicious and creamy because, as I embarrassingly discovered today, it's a pad of butter. The honey with honeycomb is also a highlight. Their **** Mary is also very tasty and the bacon add on is worth it. I recommend this spot and will be back!
