The interior is cozy and welcoming with comfortable seating, although not extensive. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can see workshops through the large glass windows where chocolate is being made. There are also books about chocolate available to read. We received a complementary piece of chocolate with our drinks, which was delicious. However, during our visit, two tables remained dirty throughout our meal, and the orange chocolate drink was too sweet and hot. The 100% hot chocolate, on the other hand, was perfect. Despite these downsides, overall, our visit was enjoyable and relaxing. We would definitely return.
We had an amazing experience at the chocolate bar making workshop! Molly, our instructor, was fantastic. She shared information about where chocolate comes from and how cocoa beans are processed to make chocolate, all while keeping it engaging for the kids in the group. The chocolate bars we made were delicious and didn't last long once we got them home. We definitely want to come back and do this again!
I visited this restaurant on August 24th, 2023. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were generally friendly, but the drinks were disappointing. I ordered the iced chocolate milk (I can't recall the exact name) while my friend got the orange hot chocolate. Unfortunately, we were able to see the barista prepare our drinks from our table next to the counter. For the iced chocolate milk, the staff member used a dirty-looking carton of chocolate and added a hard lump of chocolate into the milk, resulting in a very thick liquid. The orange hot chocolate, although rich, was not the worst but I witnessed the barista burn the milk, let it sit for a while, and then re-steam it. The burnt milk created a skin on top of the drink in between sips. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I do not plan on returning, despite the interesting menu. I had hoped to bring my friends to enjoy the diverse selection of drinks, but unfortunately, this visit was underwhelming.
Was looking forward to going but unfortunately didn’t live upto our expectations. Coffee like warm and worst of all the server brought a coffee bean chocolate that he’d missed off putting on my saucer in his bear hand and as the chocolate wasn’t in any wrapper he even left a finger print on the chocolate
This was a hidden gem to learn about how chocolate is made. No, there isn’t a “tour” of a factory per se; however, you learn about the intricacies of ethical, proper chocolate making from forest to bar. The guide talks through the process and shows the equipment (sometimes running if they’re making chocolate), divulging into what makes good quality chocolate I’m talking high quality dark chocolate where you can actually taste the different notes. You also get to sample all of the different chocolates and allow your taste buds to explore notes in chocolate, something that is often artificially added in high quantities to make us feel them. You won’t see name brand bars being made here; however, if you are truly interested in chocolate work, it’s worth visiting.
