The Punch Bowl Inn - York

We booked a table for 7:15, we realized it was pretty busy, but then we had to wait an hour before the starters were served. the service was good, the staff really friendly and the eating was nice.

Our table was not set up when we were passed through the dining room and had to be changed incessantly while we stood there. the choice of the starter was not very good and in the did for me a zöliakie there was only one. we decided not to interfere with the starters because the choice was so poor. I asked if gluten-free bread was available and was said yes it was, but it never arrived.

The second visit was as good as the first. very good service and as usual very good eating. we will return as our friend for whom it was a first visit.

Great meal excellent environment service could not fail to fail if the early bird was great worth visiting again
