Great little bar, we had a great evening there to hear a great blues band

Hidden away above this quaint little pub is a beautifully kept little roof garden with enough seats for enough people, over looking the minster. Live music, ales and craft beer available here. Friendly service lacking slightly, with all the locals sat at the bar and no real conversation returned from the bartender made for an unwelcome feel. But soon forgotten once nested away upstairs with a beer and good company. Came here by a recommendation about the terrace, will certainly be back for live music if there's room.

I had a fantastic afternoon at this beautiful bar with stunning views. The staff was incredibly welcoming, especially Andy at the bar who made me feel right at home. I also had the pleasure of meeting John, a kind older gentleman who volunteers there; he even helped me finish a crossword puzzle. After their shift, the evening staff, Harry and Molly, took over, and they were equally friendly and polite. The live music that followed was outstanding. I can't recommend this place highly enough if you're looking for excellent, traditional service—this is the bar for you!

I had a few pints and some food, and I ordered the falafel salad, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The bartender was the only staff member on duty but handled everything exceptionally well—super friendly and attentive to all the customers. It's a fantastic little spot!

The rooftop terrace offers stunning views of the cathedral, and the seating on the upper floor is quite beautiful. At first glance, the entrance may not seem impressive, but downstairs you'll discover a lively bar area with live music. You can grab a seat before placing your order.
