Prezzo - York

The pizza wasn't too bad but the house red wine was undrinkableThat was ok I guess.

Prezzo is a biggish, modern looking restaurant just near the Opera House in York city centre.

I have been to Prezzo a number of times with my family and we think it's greatThe food is nice and the waiters are very friendly.

We were glad we made a reservation as the restaurant was very busy near Christmas. The staff were pleasant and the menu was nice. The starters arrived quickly, but there was a delay with the main courses and it took three attempts to get some water brought to the table. My crab spaghetti dish was average and not very flavorful. However, the Arancinni starter was good.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the welcoming staff and led to a lovely table for five by the window. We were the first guests in the restaurant, so it remained peaceful. The drinks and food came out promptly and were very delicious. The dining area was clean and pleasant. The only downside was that the restroom was located down some steep steps, but there was a disabled toilet available on the ground floor.
