Mr Chippy - York

I had a small fish chip with muddy peas, and also bought a non-tanning spice to take away. I enjoyed it very much. They also offer gluten-free onion rings. I had a discussion with the man who is the food that is also celiac and is very knowledgeable. All gluten-free is fried separately, in palm oil, and I reacted to nothing. There are seating areas outside and above in the restaurant.

No clear menu for gluten-free option seen, does for vegans, but I just added for a large gluten-free chips, I was served fast and the chips were very delicious, I had no problems after eating.

The staff were very helpful and explained everything they could do and how they use a separate frit. The fish was so crispy and delicious with gf vinegar too!

The owner is coeliac so knowledgeable and very aware. Many foods choose not on a clear menu, but so only ask what you want

My has ceoliacs and was in a lot of pain after eating from gluten free menu here, I called and the manager was very confident it did not come from them. Then told me to stick to my local I was not trying to get money back but would of been a nice gesture he seemed more concerned about defending himself than concerned about that some contamination had occurred.
