And then add the cheese to my wife’s hamburger and forget the sauce…. this is just basic The buns were a horrid thin greasy mess, this place is so bad, the banana shake was so sweet with a hint of banana, No I didn’t take it all back I had to be somewhere and I’d already waited 10 mins And the price ,nowhere near value for money at all, A review displayed on the wall claims the best burger for less than five dollars although they ate in florida, so god knows what thats like but mine was 12 quid and awful! Do yourselves a favour go to maccies its cheaper and better quality in every way
I had heard good things about Five Guys from friends who live in Chester. I visited with my partner and we were very disappointed. The burgers were good but for the price they need to be exceptional and they really weren't. The fries and shakes were excellent but we didn't come for them the reputation is meant to be for the burgers and it falls short in this respect. The patties weren't just seared they were dry they should by juicy and flavoursome.
I was shocked at the price! I ordered a hamburger, small chips and a bottle of water it came to £15. The burger was average (patties were quite tasteless), the chips were over salted and just gross. The only good thing about this place is the staff were friendly and the food was hot. I won’t be back
Called today for first visit. Similar to Wendy’s in USA which we’ve visited with family. Food as expected, price not. The price for a cheeseburger, hot dog and 1 portion of chips with 2 soft drinks over £32
I last went into a Five Guys about 5 years ago when the Manchester Arndale sold me one of the best Vegetarian Burgers I have ever had. So on trip to York and short of time we passed Five Guys. From the Street it just looked like a takeaway as the first thing you pass are sacks of potatoes, Let me tell you sacks of Potatoes are not the most inviting look for any eatery. Still we went in to empty premises and had to wait another three or four minutes for someone to arrive to take our order. I must admit he was a very nice bloke. So I was sad that they did not have Vegetarian Burgers in the venue and was told the only vegetarian option was a sandwich So settled for that while my son (Who is not vegetarian) had burger and chips. The sandwich was passable just, The Burger was decent but son says he has had a lot better. The fries really were poor soggy and tasteless as if they had been stood on a warmer far too long. Tehn we noticed that their were at least five staff who had all been in the back room when we arrived, obviously all too lazy to tidy away the potato sacks of come to the counter. Really the price of the meal was astronomical for the amount or quality Then we noticed they had even set up table and chairs right in front of disabled toilets' they would have to be moved for a wheelchair or walking frame to get access.. Really I am shocked this place is even open at all especially when we say the other eateries nearby all had plenty of customers at the time. I also cannot believe that a town with the 2nd highest visitor numbers after London does not have anything except a sandwich for vegetarians. Really if you read this get your act together.
