So we drove to tiktok to york. we had to wait outside, but only wait 10-15 minutes, that was enough time to study the menu and change our thoughts 27 times! there are many vegan options that we were spoiled for the choice! we have decided to have hearty pancakes and sweet drinks! would definitely go back.
Friendly service, many vegan options and delish pancakes!
The banana milkshake here is the best I ever had. I really go to double dutch, but I always have a pancake. they have a great vegan menu that covers both sides of an A3 arch. they can choose from the standard options or make them themselves. it is a really nice little place, very cozy and the decorations are quite quirky. they made me smile while waiting! I made my own and went with banans, braided mandeling, drip butter and maple syrup. it comes with a few strawberries and chocolate buttons (also vegan) and it is all made for a delicious pancake. in any case worth a visit.
I am part of French, so I was quite part of a real pancake in contrast to the American style, so I was thrilled to hear from this place right in the city center and had to try it out. the location is great and the decor is wonderfully unique and quirky. as with some independent sites in central york, it is small and we had to leave our children's car at the door to the opposite. not sure what would happen if another family showed up with a baby (maybe they did it, we sat up, so no way to know that they had a high chair. the vegan menu is separated and big I took a little time to decide what to have! my 5yo had strawberry and blueberry cake with a strawberry milkshake, the latter was massive and he could only drink about half (they do not do the size of a child). I tried to finish it, but it was overly sweet and artificially tasted the result of what seemed drowning erdbeersirup in it. I had the breakfast pancake and it was great. I was sad that I shared with my 8mo when he wanted to rip his share and more! I would definitely have eaten a whole second hearty pancake and had a sweet one for dessert, but the time did not allow as we were due elsewhere (and it would have been quite expensive). I had a lemon ice tea and on order thought £2,75 was a little expensive, but the glass was quite large and I couldn't finish it so well. the staff was nice, the waitress repeated clearly our order back to us, noticed which parts were vegan and said they brought the food, so I felt recognisable that they had taken seriously (the fakon is this is not speck, so it was a simple saying).
Popped in for brunch one day. It's a cute quirky little place with a whole menu filled with vegan goodness! You can choose from a wide variety of sweet savoury pancakes. We tried the Italian one with homemade pesto and the Mexican one with guacamole salsa. Both were very nice. The coffee is good too! Recommended. Updated from previous review on 2022-03-04
