L'antica Pizzeria Da Michele - Yokohama

The menu seems to have expanded a lot since the opening of the restaurant, and yet the only vegan option is still the pizza marinara. We ordered one to go and were told it would take about 15 minutes, but we finally have our *cold* pizza 40 minutes later. It was still delicious, but I just wish we had the experience of a fresh one from the hot pizza of the oven.

This was a really nice authentic pizza marinara, and was the first vegan pizza I’d had after being in Japan for a few weeks. So it was a very welcome change! The dough was nice and the tomatoes were flavourful. It’s a shame there’s wasn’t a vegan salad or any sides to go with it, but I’ll take it!

Da Michele, the famous Neapolitan Pizzeria, has opened a restaurant in Yokohama! The pizza marinara and the zeppò line are vegan. The pizza is huge and delicious! The restaurant is at Hammerhead, they have both indoor and outdoor tables. From the outdoor tables you can enjoy the view of Yokohama’s famous landmarks. If you’d like to try real Italian pizza you should definitely try Da Michele! Updated from previous review on 2023-06-15
