Yes, we all know there is a supply chain problem so they thought someone would have planned before and make sure that they do not spoil. carry the necessaryities, tee bags, chalk, bars, etc. they were only opened 2 weeks. they had the whole low season to camp. the park itself was so well maintained, hiking trails were in excellent condition. but the company that manages the hotels and restaurants, xanterra, should lose their contract! Unfortunately, this is often the case for government entrepreneurs. it would also be nice to use a local coffee maker to supply their coffee shops. what a great opportunity to support their surrounding community or in-state bratereien. grand teton had died as a supplier. the worst coffee is here, ugh!
This is cafeteria style with finished Asian style bowls on a side and comfort eating on the other. it was very good. sitting outside was ok-we always found a place-and there were also some tables inside.
Our trip to yellowstone was ende september. at the arrival we were told that breakfast and dinner were included! only 1 night was too long to come in. we had the choice of wok, truthahn, potted or hot dogs. the food was good? the staff was minimal. they worked out their backs! everyone who was not familiar with the order had asked many who slowed down the line. Waiting in the line gave us the opportunity to meet other travelers from all over the world! and met people who live half a mile from us. we bought cooler at walmart to store food from breakfast and dinner. please remember, this is a national park! if you like to eat fine, go out the park. I grilled a few burgers when I came back to pa and wish I was back instone yellow. I had luck coming to yellowstone 20 years ago. it was a short trip. this time we could really dig in and see it. when they make themselves worry about eating, they stay outside the park and miss the incredible beauty of this shady. plan their journey carefully so that they can see each other. my son and I caught fish that we cannot catch on the east coast. our first night landed a great grey owl in front of us because of incredible photos. during the fishing I had a gum boa snake in front of me! Don't worry about eating.
Not really sure how to rate this experience because they did the best they could under a really challenging environment (COVID and limited staff). At our stay they opted to only provide grab go style food offerings (pre-prepared sandwich items) and offer free meals (breakfast Dinner ONLY) to patrons staying at the property. The lines to receive your dinner, (as you would probably expect, were long and wait times averaged (4 night stay) 50 minutes to just over an hour (you will need to be patient) really just depended when you arrived. I thought the quality of the food and portion size was good and although I would have preferred more of a selection to choose from it was acceptable (Pot roast, Turkey or Stir fry option with selected protein option and vegan available). Staff was limited but the people they did have working were constantly on the move. Kudos to Austin who really exemplified a great attitude and professional demeanor under some really challenging moments. -Food options are not in lodges about 5 -15 minute walk to village area
Was there only once when visited Yellowstone a month ago because we didn't want to waste more time. It's a nice place to begin with, but extremely slow and long line, food was just okay, there was only one cashier despite the long line, and that poor cashier was also required to refill the utensils and napkins. Poor management!
