The Winds Cafe - YELLOW SPRINGS

I am sensitive to gluten and wanted something warm yesterday so ordered the Pasta e fagioli and asked for rice instead of pasta. Beans and rice the perfect protein plus a fabulous vegetable sauce. My idea of comfort food. I don't think I ever had such an amazing bean dish. Our wonderful waitress, Aria, told me about some gluten-free dessert options and I chose the chocolate ginger purple. It's enough to say that I was in heaven. I asked for the name of the Gelato and becomes a source in the Columbus area. The Winds Koch added many chopped crystallized ginger inspired! I can't make it home. My lunch partner had the pasta of the day and smiled Oh Wow!, then the apple cake (fabulös), and took a portion of black beans chili home for dinner. I just wish I lived closer to The Winds.

The Johnson family had a wonderful Mothers Day brunch. The salmon dish was one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed.

Every bite I've ever had at Winds Cafe was a taste adventure! From their fabulous fresh baked bread and citrusy olive appetizer, incredible wine list, diverse and interesting entrees, to the rainbow of rich desserts, the meal is tasty trip worth taking. Knowledgeable servers, quiet, quaint and comfortable with local art make it perfect for a romantic dinner, lunch with a friend, or a splendid brunch with the family!

This is our go-to place for Mother's Day, Sunday Brunch, and other special occasions. (Reservations a good idea). Food has always been terrific and have had really attentive service. Weather permitting, patio is lovely. Plus it's fun to stroll around Yellow Springs after lunch.

My favorite place to eat. We live a distance away but it was worth the wait. Got there at 10:50 am. And they were filling up at that early hour on a Sunday.
