Emporium Wines And The Underdog Cafe

I have been preparing (about 3 years not here.) I was so glad to come back to ohio to breakfast here. I really am looking forward to having the best fried eggs, speck and kartoffeln and toast, ever. imagine my disappointment that they have set this menu. the quintessential American breakfast was not continued. So I had the burrito. It was good, but. I'm probably going back there. it's a nice room with good ambiente, but as I miss the usual

The heartbeat of yellow sources, sure! has something for every coffee, wein, beer, food/deserts, books, art on the walls and great music all the time. itself has placed wall paintings on the walls outside local painters. a real Bohemian hideaway, and a very cozy/friendly atmosphere.

So I’m writing this only because every time I go in, I feel like employees are trying NOT to help me.today I walked in to get a breakfast burrito, and after shuffling around for a bit, looking for somewhere it says anything about burritos, I asked a young man if they were still serving them. He replied they stop serving them at 1. Confused I said, oh what time is it? While pulling out my phone…. As I looked down the 12:59 turned to 1:00. The young man says, yup sorry, you just missed it, and laughs and walks away. Not malicious but I just felt like he was gonna tell me no regardless of if it was actually 1. For a small business, shouldn’t they be welcoming any customers they can? I understand the cutoff and such but come on. Where’s the small town friendliness? SMH

I enjoyed my breakfast here but my partner did not. Like not at all. She had biscuits and gravy with mushrooms, I had the breakfast burrito.I have to admit, the people at the counter were ...cranky? I don't know, just short of helpful.This is a fantastic place to buy wine though, with a beautiful selection.Coffee is ok.
