AC, hot water and TV didn't work. I doubled on my credit card and took three hours for them to give me money back because they don't make a refund. Hotel and restaurant fall apart and dirty. Broken cages hold zoo animals, some of which have matted **** fur. The rooms are $60.00 per night, which includes eggs for breakfast and unfortunately you have to eat all meals in the restaurant as the other places in the city are even worse. I made reservations a month in advance, so should they not put me in a room where the AC, hot water and TV don't work? The bathroom had 1000 bugs in the shower. This is built in the jungle and on stilts above the water so that someone probably left a light on which the mistakes attracted. The staff always smiled only lazy and never cleared the tables from previous guests. My table had the dirty dishes from night before breakfast the next morning. When I went through the kitchen, I stopped watching a waiter, the handful of food from each of three plates that were ready to serve the guests. She stopped her mouth as fast as she could gulp and chew. The hotel/restaurant is located in a beautiful environment actually on the water of the Yarinacocha lake and very quiet apart from weekends. But the river town loves loud music and girls in strings dancing on table tops in several restaurants next door, so don't wait until after 3:00 on the weekend. The best thing in Puerto Callao sure, but avoiding the area is a better idea.
