The chef/owner comes from a long line of great chefs- Nephew of Orlando ( of Orlandos ) and son of Italo ( legendary grill house in Oxapampa ) - Specializing in grilled AND smoked meats, D Oxa sets themselves apart in the area with both a complete menu and an amazing atmosphere set apart from the noise and chaos of the city. Well worth the few minute drive to get there. Super friendly, family atmosphere and great food-

Not only did D'oxa not have several of the plates as well as the drinks available that were listed on the menu (one of the people went through two meal options before something they could do something that he wanted), the food options that they did have were good. The food had a little bit different flavor than other traditional Peruvian restaurants which was nice. But the atmosphere was worth it. It provided a nice location just outside the city with outdoor veranda seating. Large tables with a stay awhile feel which was perfect for our party of 11.
