Przekaż informację zwrotnąThe pulled pork, ribs, burnt ends, and brisket were all overcooked and served at room temperature. The coleslaw was bland and lacked seasoning. Even the macaroni and cheese was cold. I was really excited to try this place, but I left feeling very disappointed.
The bands were decent, but unfortunately, the pulled pork was extremely dry. Additionally, what was labeled as pastrami turned out to be more like beef. I was very disappointed.
I had a three-meat combination with ribs, and the burnt ends were excellent. The pork was good and well-ripened. However, I wasn't a fan of the vinegar-based coleslaw. The pastrami was my favorite, but it was cut along the grain, which was a big mistake. Meat should always be sliced against the grain to avoid it being chewy. It felt like an amateur mistake.
Rice were decent. the rest of the meal was not so great. I'm usually not picky, but it was surprising for me. I don't think it's a real smokehouse because it didn't seem to involve smokers, wood or grills. the menu points and the setup were almost identical to a place in long island city that I enjoyed, about which I was thrilled when I really trenched this format. I would rate the place a 10 and this place around a 6 because this place legit has a kerl in the rear lining logs in a smoker fire. I'm not trying to be hard, but it sounds like that. I think they cook either eating or baking it. Maybe I'm wrong. Great place to pick up a beer and watch sports, but the grill was a bit let in. I would go back there to catch a game or have some happy hours beer, but would probably be picky with my order.
My wife, Judy and I, are big fans of Kawaii Touri. We decided to try the Smokehouse and other than difficulty navigating the reservation system difficult, at best- we just showed up), the experience was great. Greeted by the CIA not the government agency) trained Chef Tim and by the colorful jack of all trades , Braxton, we were seated and then lavished with attention. Never heard of burnt ends before but suggested to me by Jim the owner a fellow Jericho member) , we ordered them and the ribs. WOW to both but an extra WOW to the burnt ends. Service was great as is the beer. Braxton made the experience even better. He and Tim are perfect faces for the Smokehouse. Looking forward to trying the brisket, pulled pork and wings!! Too bad the neighbors voted against outside seating! It is their loss. Go Smokehouse- you are a great and welcome addition to the Vault group of eateries!! Rich Gelade
