Super hospitable staff and wonderful wines! I'm definitely going back. A very peaceful environment and the koi in the pond were well spoiled too! Couldn't recommend this winery more highly!
The service was exceptional even though the restaurant was very busy. The wine was delicious and paired perfectly with the cheese board. The view was beautiful and there were many opportunities to take pictures. However, my only complaint is that my friend, who has celiac disease, requested a gluten-free cheese board but did not receive one. As a result, she fell ill that night due to a real allergic reaction and not just a dietary preference.
We recently visited Saffron Hills on a wine tour recommendation. The tasting pours were quite small, but we were able to revisit wines we wanted to try again. Three out of the four people in our group ended up purchasing wine. However, we were surprised to discover that a tip had been added to our bill without our authorization after we had left. This had never happened to me before. I reached out to the winery for clarification but received no response.
The restaurant has a stunning landscape and beautiful artwork, but the wine was not my favorite as it was quite dry and acidic. However, if you enjoy that style of wine, it's worth a try! I did enjoy their Pinot rose, which was darker and more red than others and had great flavor. The pond features large koi fish and beautiful plants, while there are electronic art fixtures that move and change as you watch. The restaurant also offers rolling hills and 360-degree views, as well as a charcuterie board for snacking.
