As a Margaret River local, you soon get to find the 'Diamonds from the Rough' - and Arimia is unreservedly up there with the best! Visited with friends last week and can't speak highly enough about the service, knowledgeable Tasting and exquisite Lunch we experienced. An old favourite from the day this place opened, not the first time we've visited, but its been a while...and we weren't let down! It's gotten even better, the Vines have aged, the stable of Wines is none too shabby, service with a smile and a lot of humour. The Winter Menu, kitchen and Cuisine is quite outstanding! Superb/lingering Tasting with a very knowledgeable Cameron, service from the gorgeous Jackie & Ann and Food to savour, from head Chef, Evan Hayter and his team made for a very pleasant afternoon on a somewhat Wintery Margaret River Friday. Can't speak highly enough about this little 'Secret Margaret River/Yallingup Gem'...beautiful bush setting at the end of Quininup Roa with warm log fires in Winter and serene alfresco deck dining in Spring & Summer. Quick...make a beeline for this place before the crowds find it, you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend!!
This lovely little winery used to be our favourite lunch venue. Nice small menu with sharing platters, uncomplicated food, and decent wines in a beautiful setting. I am sad to say that our last 3 visits have been disappointing...with a now complicated and expensive menu that even the staff are struggling to explain, and food quite average once on the plate. My advice....Stop trying too hard and go back to what you used to do and you will win us back!
Very pleasant setting. Food was pretty good but not up to the standard of some of the surrounding wineries. Got the feeling the staff were pretty new in the main.
Evan and his team have created some sublime dishes with regional food and ingredients grown on the estate. The four course degustation is perfect for a long lunch and the matching estate wines are excellent pairings. Every dish has an ingenious nuance and the cookery shows a great understanding of the food. One has to just say WOW, when the chef comes to the table while you are admiring the beautiful beef dish and he shreds some fresh truffle on top; "just collected this yesterday, should go nicely with the rump cap". Brilliant !Cam the wine guy, sorry Cam the wine manager :-), is great, with incredible knowledge of the wines and clear passion for the Estate. The little extra tastes throughout the lunch made the day perfect.Ignore the previous reviews about the unsealed road, slow it down enjoy the drive in through the forrest to find this little, off-grid gem at the end of the gravel.
