Asadero Doña Meche - Xico

My favorite thing here was the beverages we ordered a special type of coconut horchata tasted like fresh creamy coconut, yum!!! The smell and taste was heaven. Our friend also ordered a special sassafras flavored drink here that he said you can only get at a few places. The food was okay but not as good as other places I've been to. I ordered the guacamole. It tasted kind of bland to be honest but had a nice creamy consistency and was better when I squeezed 3 lime wedges on top. It didnt look like the picture they had in their menu for it, and was missing onions, tomatoes, cilantro and other fixings I prefer to have with my guacamole. Also, for some reason they only served it with 8 chips, so I requested more and they gave me just 10 chips more which still wasn't really enough for the amount of guacamole they gave me so they gave me more like 20 chips the third time I asked. The mole was good but not the best that I have had here in Mexico. I didn't try any of my partners Menudo soup but it looked very filling with the thick fatty broth and organ meats in it. He seemed to like it. The appetizer was good but we had better tostadas at other places and it was a little too salty. They did not provide an itemized checklist of everything we ordered on the receipt but the cost, which was around 275 with the tip included, felt reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. I would still have preferred a professional receipt that listed the items we ordered for my records rather than a handwritten number on a piece of paper. They also only accept cash which they don't tell you until you already order.

Tienen un menú muy variado y los precios son accesibles , cuentan con menú para niños , en términos generales bien . Aunque le resta mucho al lugar que los baños estén sumamente sucios como si se tratara de una cantina de mala muerte.

Carta muy variada, hay de todo. Precios razonables.

Un lugar muy espacioso con una gran variedad de platillos típicos de la zona a muy buen precio y con un sabor excelente. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.
