Taverna Gekas - Xanthi

The food was great, so the prices were. I had a pig souvlaki with pommes and it was pretty good. Nicely decorated and the staff was polite. Right near the restaurant there is a small shop where you can store on necessary things for your stay in stock.

We had a wonderful time here. The family that owns this tavern is very beautiful, friendly and wearing. The food is not exceptional, but really good. If you're in salads, try the Gekas. No soups in the menu and no seafood. They serve to assate garlic bread without asking and to calculate 2 EUR for it so if you don't like it, you can specify. Food is not expensive, averaging for a person around 13 EUR, and you get a free digestive ouzo drink and a dessert. Not as many bees as other places we visited. GSM signal really week and of course no 3G/4G, but you can ask for the Wi-Fi password. Sometimes it can be loud as there may be more children, but no deal breaker could exist. Definitely recommend to come here.

Best lamb, or traditional greek food, we have found there. Friendliest service and a funny chef. A place to eat great, have a funny evening and get pretty trunk, if u want. Side. Dont order ouzo from the chef if u dont can drink a large glass of it.
