I used to frequent this tea shop with my mother many years ago, but haven't been back in a while. I was pleasantly surprised by my recent visit. I went yesterday with a friend and again today with my family. We all tried different snacks, all of which were delicious and clearly homemade. Their chicken broth was particularly outstanding, even rivaling my own homemade version. The service provided by the two ladies was top-notch - professional and friendly. I highly recommend this cafe, as it is a small business that deserves support, especially in these challenging times. Thank you to the ladies for a wonderful experience, you are truly a credit to the establishment.

Always a friendly and accommodating welcome. Happy to make any changes or special requests to the menu. In the past I have asked for a vegetarian breakfast which is not on the menu and they created over and above what I have been given in other local cafes. Today we tested them again by asking for omelettes, again not on the menu. We were not disappointed with eggs only omelettes full of mushrooms peppers and onions as ordered with coleslaw and salad on the side. Lovely atmosphere and great wifi if you need it. if you are around Thornton and looking for just a coffee, breakfast, lunch or a naughty bit of cake, I highly recommend Thornton Tea Rooms ideally located on the Marsh Mill Village.

My mother and I went to Tiffins and each had a cheese, ham, pineapple, and sweet chili toastie, accompanied by a cappuccino and latte. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back soon.

We have been stopping at this restaurant for lunch annually on our way to Blackpool since around 1993! After a four-year gap due to Covid, we recently returned and were blown away by the exceptional food and service. We tried the Stilton, bacon, and mushroom toastie as well as the cheese pie, both of which were fantastic. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, despite the restaurant being very busy. We can see why it is so popular. Thank you for a wonderful stop on our trip down memory lane! We will definitely be back next year.
