The Fish House - Wyre

A very enjoyable meal of fish and chips, very fresh and for my husband gluten free batter as he is coeliac. The service good everyone was very friendly. We will definitely visit agin when next in the area.

The food at this restaurant is top-notch, always fresh and delicious. My mum and I make a point to come here every other week because she absolutely loves it, and we don't mind the travel from Bolton. The staff are attentive and caring from the moment you walk in, always willing to help. We have visited during both slow and busy times, and the service has always been exceptional. Thanks to the entire team for taking such good care of us!

July 19-The restaurant had just closed but we ordered a takeaway from the main shop next door. We were a family of adults and children who were visitors to the Fleetwood area. We ordered 3 large haddocks for the adults and 3 regular haddocks for the children with chips, plus an additional large sausage. It came to just over £60 including soft drinks. When it was ready, it was given to us in two bags. We didn’t think we needed to unpack and check the contents there and then. As the road that the shop is on was a bit windswept and unappealing we decided to drive a few minutes to the coast. On opening the bags we found that one large haddock and one sausage was missing. In all my years I have never experienced either a missing fish or a sausage and to have two items missing was quite unbelievable. Going back to complain was not an option as we had another venue we had to get to in Blackpool in a timely manner. I don’t know what went wrong when it was served up because it wasn’t at all busy and apart from the financial loss of £11/£12 we paid for the missing items, the fish was excellent and we enjoyed the remainder of what we had. Shame though, it spoilt what would have been a lovely experience simply down to poor management at the counter. Paul K, Northamptonshire

This restaurant was recommended to us, and I would recommend it to anyone. We ate in, and I had a Haddock and Chips, while my partner had a trio of Cod Goujons, Calamari and Scampi. Each meal came with chips and a side dish of peas/gravy/curry sauce, whichever you preferred. The fish was cooked to order, and the batter melt in the mouth. I don't think I have had a better fish and chips. Staff friendly and efficient

One of the very few that seem to happily do Gluten Free! (chips, fish, sausage, gravy and curry sauce all GF) the food was hot and tasty and quick. Oh and the vinegar was gluten free too!
