The staff behind the counter greeted us kindly and allowed us to take our time making our choices. The drinks fridges were well stocked and also very clean. We ordered a medium portion of fish and chips, medium chips, a savaloy, and a battered sausage. The fish had a perfect balance of crispy batter and tender, flaky fish on the inside. The chips were soft with just the right amount of crispiness, and the sausages were flavorful (though my partner thought the savaloy could have been hotter). The total cost for both medium meals and a drink was just under £20, which we found to be good value for money. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. Overall, a great local chippy!
Me and my friend came here for a quick bite to eat. I was welcomed by the owner and he recommended the Pie and they where top quality I would recommend these. My friend has the chicken burger was great too!
I really enjoyed some chips a bit hard but otherwise lovely take away would recommend
Had food from here a few times. Parking is limited and difficult to get back out onto the main road...you need to be cautious and have your hazards on. When the food is fresh it's lovely, particularly the cod! I have had a couple of times where I've ended up with leftover cod from lunch at dinnertime and it's been stale tasting- thick chewy batter and hard cod so would just advise checking it's fresh and not from lunch. Mushy peas are watery compared to some other places I've been too. Staff are friendly. Please note this is not a sit in.
The Cod was delicious and the portion sizes are perfect. Chips and beef and onion pie was spot on as well
