The Mash Inn - Wycombe

This place is nothing short of superb! The setting, ambiance food and character of the place justifies the expense.

I had been wanting to visit the Three Horseshoes for some time, and it was definitely worth the wait. They handled a potential mix-up professionally, and the locally sourced tasting menu was delicious and catered to all preferences. The service was just right to maintain a cozy pub-like atmosphere. The only disappointment was that they only had bottled beer instead of draft, but at least it was local. It's a special occasion venue for most, so we will definitely save up to return.

We had an amazing dining experience at The Mash Inn. The staff were attentive, polite, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The tasting menu was fantastic, with excellent food and perfectly matched wines. The absence of a traditional menu added to the excitement of each surprise course, which was expertly presented and explained by the passionate staff. We were celebrating a birthday and the experience did not disappoint. We have already recommended The Mash Inn to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We had visited the Mash Inn previously. Our next visit was a gift, using a voucher which was intended to cover the cost of the meal and wine, according to the price shown on the website for the tasting menu. Unfortunately we ended up paying nearly as much again because they said the price was different on a Friday evening. This was NOT made clear in any way on the website, nor by any member of staff during contact for the booking or during the evening. We attempted to recover some of the cost and a protracted exchange took place between ourselves and the owner who was exceedingly unpleasant and who resolutely refused to acknowledge the problem. In the end, a gift card was offered, but it was not for the full amount we had paid. We were prepared to accept a cash refund of this amount, but the owner has always refused this. Why he thinks we would ever visit this establishment again after the very unfair, and frankly bullying attitude he displayed is beyond our comprehension. The whole thing ruined what had been a perfectly good evening, which was supposed to be a celebration, and the subsequent interaction with the owner caused us both great distress. A very sad episode indeed.

We had a wonderful lunch experience in December '22 with a party of three. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the location was lovely. Overall, we couldn't find any faults and are looking forward to returning soon.
