Baotong Temple Vegetarian - Wuhan

I didn't really like it. The food was okay, but pricy. I paid 40rmb for a small bowl curry and the mock meat had this strange sweet taste. The plate of the mockmeate was okay. I spent about 90rmb, which was a demolition because just on the street or the next underground station (guangbuton) there is a new vegan buffet restaurant that is open and costs only 20rmb.

A decent menu with pictures. Eating is pretty good. Terrible service also according to Chinese standards!

I enjoyed the food here, especially the Veg Curry and a mushroom dish. My Chinese are very limited, but I could communicate with the staff who were more friendly than the average Wuhanese!

I do not have to agree with all previous reviews that mention how rude people are in the Buddhist restaurant of the Batong Temple. The staff here was very friendly to me, helped me with my bags, offers recommendations to be extremely polite. Although I was communicating in Chinese, one of the servers spoke some English back to me. Very recommended. Her fried lotus root was amazing!
