John Wright Store - Wrightsville

We celebrated our anniversary dinner at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The food, service, and stunning view of the river were all exceptional. There were just a couple of minor drawbacks: the dinner bread was cold and lacked flavor, and my dessert—a caramel apple pastry—was meant to be warm but was only slightly warm on the outside and cool on the inside. I would have preferred both the bread and dessert to be served hot. Despite these small issues, we will definitely return.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and we really loved the unique atmosphere created by the building's architecture. I visited this amazing restaurant for the first time and we absolutely loved everything about it! We were seated on the outdoor deck, which offered a beautiful view of the landscape. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The appetizers, dinner, and dessert were all exceptional. There isn't a single thing about John Wright's that we didn't enjoy. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I visited the restaurant for the first time, looking forward to a nice brunch. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing considering the price. The food wasn't hot, just warm at best. While some dishes were decent, most didn't meet expectations for over $28. Our server also wasn't very friendly. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but a little more kindness would have been appreciated. I might give the restaurant another chance, but I won’t be returning for brunch.
