Piccolo's - Worcester

Apparently under new ownership. Several staples on the menu are now gone. The taste and quality of the food was still excellent. Unfortunately, Gorgonzola dipping sauce is a slim serving even when asking and charged for extra. The server we had was not what we were used to there. She was impersonal, forgetful and seems as though she'd rather be anywhere else. Will likely give it another try at some point in hopes it was just a bad day for her

The staff was excellent; accommodating [2] last-minute calls regarding a late arrival, seating us promptly, very friendly and helpful. The room was quite loud, with a lot of kitchen noise (plates and silverware banging and clanging), the food was just OK; value for the price was not great.

Never again. The food was bland and the staff indifferent. We won't be back, nor will we recommended. With all of the good restaurants in Worcester, they really need to step up to their game.

I made a reservation a week in advance and was seated right on time. The experience was fantastic! I ordered the baked haddock with fluffy mashed potatoes and a sautéed veggie medley, and it was absolutely delicious. The duck and beef tips my companions ordered were equally impressive cooked to perfection and smothered in a creamy half mashed bean sauce. The prices were reasonable, though some dishes were a bit on the expensive side. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us regularly. While the covid precautions were not strictly enforced and tables were placed next to each other, the food and presentation were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food.
