Jampa's Spirit of Tibet - Woombye

Whilst visiting the camp site on a recent visit to QLD we were told that there was a restaurant on site. I didn't expect much in all honesty.We popped in and I was taken aback. Very impressive surroundings, service was excellent, and food was top notch. I ate my words and everything else put in front of me. Reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere with great food made for a memorable meal and we would recommend Jampa's to anyone.

Great setting in timber building with deck. Have been twice recently and enjoyed the dishes much more the second time, so probably just the choices made the difference. The spicy prawns, chicken shasi and lamb with cashews were my favourites. Flavours were very nice, and medium spiciness would be a good option for most people. Also tried a samosa which was larger than usual and had a lovely taste and texture. Jampa chatted with us after the meal and is a very interesting fellow. Venue would also be really good for a group celebration. Its BYO with $2 each corkage. Would go back, and recommend to try if you enjoy Indian type flavours.

We had an truely amazing meal with Jamba. Neither of us had tried Tibetan before and we both loved it. Both the entree and mains were full of flavour with a nice hint of spice (there is the option of mild,medium or hot. We choose medium) Highly recommended.

A quaint cottage with atmosphere, karmha, delicious food, friendly staff. It's a BYO with very reasonable corkage. Absolutely love their food.

Tucked away in Big 4 Forest Glen. Both occasions had tasty curries. Rice serve small. Doesn't cater well for children, mild curry option only which is limiting. No "go to" chicken nuggets or burgers etc and what could be a thriving restaurant hub if it catered to the guests in close proximity and not external to park has been quiet on both times we have dined.
