If you're considering applying for a manager position or any job here, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. While some co-workers may act friendly, they may quickly turn on you and lie when it suits them. Despite putting in your best effort to make things work, the General Manager will always find something to criticize. For instance, I once warned a colleague that the GM might reach out to me regarding his lack of proper uniform (she had recently called me about another employee in the same situation and told me to send him home). Instead of understanding, he lashed out at me and threw a fit. When he asked if I wanted him to leave and I replied that it was up to him, he still chose to stay and continued to berate me. Frustrated, I decided to walk away from the situation. In the end, I was the one fired for stepping away before things escalated, while the disrespectful coworker still has his job. Thanks, team, for having my back.
