The presentation of the food was lackluster and most of the selection was heavy on carbs like pasta and rice, which tasted overly salty. The fish was good, but it's hard to go wrong with deep fried food. While the buffet prices are low, the lack of variety and quality means it's not worth the money. In reality, it ends up being quite expensive for what you actually receive. I wouldn't recommend it.
TERRIBLE I brought a Groupon Coupon for Buffett amici for me and my new boyfriend after demands for dinners and lunches that I'm still trying to be free from the forced feedings that may happen worse if I don't fight the expectation. We are not together anymore anyway, a stalker bully threatened to steal my building if I saw him. Any way. This was the dinner. Not much. $78.00 discounted to $39.00 Two person. Obviously I was happy to just get a extra beer instead of take home the second meal. Not happy with the product presented. Lucky I was making myself happy with song and wine. Nice of them to handle the singing to myself with my earphones. Aw well. Not all deals are worth it. Maybe I expect too much. But I thought it should of been a lot better. It kind of looks like some one gave me there chewed on leftovers.
I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here and this visit was no exception. I don't really understand the poor reviews. This place is a relaxed, unpretentious family friendly buffet diner. Perfect for groups, not particularly intimate or romantic, always popular. Service was particularly good today, friendly and polite. New manager since we last visited? Saw the owner who wished us a good evening as we left. They even bought us a silver platter, lighter for the candles, cutting knife, plastic cutlery and paper plates for our birthday cake we took with us. The food was delicious as always. Loads of creamy pasta, fall apart roast beef, beef curry, beautiful fried battered fish, fresh prawns, dolmades, potato bake were my highlights. Others enjoyed the chilli mussels but some shells were empty. The homemade bread looked delicious, though I didn't partake others did. The tiramisu was gorgeous. A lot of choice I think with a Mediterranean edge. I thought $7 corkage a bit steep but the bottled beers are not bad at $6. Ice cold water immediately brought to table. Adding soft drinks into the buffet price would make this better value. Very enjoyable evening. Will be back.
We have visited Amici several times and have always enjoyed a satisfying meal. There is a variety of options to please different tastes at a reasonable price. The dessert selection may be limited, but it is still enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We purchased a Groupon for the seafood buffet at this restaurant. We are local, so it was convenient for us. The manager greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. We were promptly served water and a glass of red wine, which was decent for being included in the deal. The buffet wasn't the best I've ever had, but considering the price of the Groupon, it was good value for money. The prawns were fresh, and there was a small selection of salad, as well as delicious fish and calamari. There was also curry, pasta, vegetables, etc., providing plenty to keep us satisfied. Overall, the manager was very friendly and provided good service. Corkage is $7 per bottle if you bring your own wine. We like to support small businesses when we can, so we recommend giving this place a try.
